Costa Rica

I was at a bachelor party in Costa Rica, riding through the jungle on an ATV, when I got an idea for this painting. That type of flower is a Heliconia, for the horticulturists (sp?) in the audience. From about 11pm to 2am last night, and from about 10am to 2pm today, I worked on that flying lady’s face. 7 hours on a 1 inch square, misery. And I am not very happy with it, but at some point I realize that for my sanity I have to just end it at some point. I wonder what song she is playing on that harp of hers, Honky Tonk Women? Corduroy? Uncle John’s Band? Stairway!?!?!?
